Friday, our first night we took off for our first stop in Barstow, CA where we setup up tents at Shady Line RV Park and spent the whole night. The next day we were off to Zion!
After an additional 6 hours or so of driving we finally hit our destination Saturday afternoon and hit the trails with our packs!
We set up camp after hitting Stave Spring (which turned out to be a metal pipe sticking out of the ground) and had dinner and hit the sack ready for the big hike (14 miles) the next day!
After breakfast we headed out for Deer Mountain and when we got there was it awesome! We had lunch and worship service overlooking the grand beauty of the Zion canyon.
Since we heard there would be rain that evening, we headed back for our cars and finished our epic 14 mile hike. The next day we drove down to LA and finished our trip off with some All You Can Eat Korean BBQ! Doesn’t get any more epic than that people! Hope you can join us next time!
