Check out Gracepoint Church Berkeley and Klesis Christian Fellowship at Cal where there is a culture of love and acceptance, close fellowship, open-discussion, discipleship… and a desire to grow in Christ. Klesis & Gracepoint Ministries believe that God is not only into restoring & transforming lives, but also into restoring & transforming our culture (and our world) through those who have “encountered” Jesus in their own lives. The picture of the early church found in Acts 2 & 4 is the kind of community we desire to be — a Christ-centered & Christ-following & counter-cultural community. Come check it out!

I’m soooooo thankful for coming to Gracepoint. Thankful that the Gospel conquered me! Been here since 1993 and never regretted my decision to stay! So happy to continue building the Kingdom of God here together with my fellow brothers and sisters! 🙂

When I first came to Klesis, I was surprised by how friendly people were. I was surprised because when I met people, they weren’t just courteously friendly to me—they genuinely wanted to get to know me. Whenever I got sick or was stressed with school, I would get care packages and prepped meals to help me through everything. The people I met here became my closest friends and I’m just grateful because if it hadn’t been for Klesis, I wouldn’t have met the people who mean the world to me now. Not mention, if it hadn’t been for Klesis, I wouldn’t have grown nearly as much in my knowledge of who God is and what Christianity is actually about.

Keep up the good work there guys. I appreciate your group’s fresh look at the gospel and gospel-centered life. Keep up the faith there on the Berkeley campus!

Friends of convenience? Nah, these are friends for eternity – literally. I’ve grown close to people that I would have never imagined hanging out with prior to college, all because of the strong culture of living out the gospel and serving God in this fellowship.

I’m thankful to the people in Klesis for taking Jesus, the Bible and Me so seriously! Through Klesis I have learned the truth about God and myself and have seen a non-compromising and joyful Christian life lived out to it’s fullest.

Pretty glad to have met this group of people who read the bible, study its truth, live involved lives with one another and know how to have fun! I grew up in the church, but I really got to see a glimpse of the church from Acts 2 with these people. Glad to be here, and thankful for the rich relationships!

I remember Berkeley being a really big and scary place when I came in as a freshman. There were so many unknowns – what classes to take, what group of friends I was going to end up with, what to major in? I’m really thankful that my life crossed paths with people in Klesis, as Berkeley felt a little smaller, a little more close to home. I had a group of friends who I knew and who knew me well. We had some awesome times together, we studied the bible and talked about God together. Can’t wait to meet people and to invite them into our family 🙂

Klesis is one of the best things that has happened to me period. Not only is Klesis a fun community of Christ-centered people, it is a space where my questions regarding life and religion could be addressed and answered.

I’m so thankful that I found a great community in Klesis to go through the tough times of college with while learning what it means to live as a Christian!

I’m incredibly grateful and excited and passionate that I found Klesis and get to share important parts of my early 20s with other believers, with new friends and with genuine humans curious about the ‘so what’ of what it means to chase after God and have Him chase after you, in a real Acts 2-esque relationship between His love and our actions. I don’t know how I got along for ‘so long’ without a group like Klesis, and everybody already feels like the family I was waiting to discover, around some corner, waiting to celebrate joyfully together and share life together. So thankful for being called a friend of God and for being called back, again and again, no matter what obstacles arise in life. Lots of love (Mark 1:15, Acts 1:3, Acts 2:24, Acts 2:38-39)
