This past Wednesday, the Klesis frosh and seniors got together for a little study break in the middle of RRR week, to eat some desserts, open up some gifts and just have some fun before the grind of finals really hits…

As a good old-fashioned White Elephant party, we had a great time just opening up all the wrapping and gift bags to see what kind of goodies were out there. There was some pretty hilarious stuff, like a picture frame of the senior guys or one giant box that had nothing but a bottle of Listerine…

But of course, we all know that the gift you start with certainly won’t be the gift you end up with! That’s not how Klesis does Christmas parties. So we partook in some absurd games, and as they say on the open seas of pirate ships, “To the victor goes the spoils,” or something like that. Anyway, the teams that won the games were able to loot the losing teams and grab what they desired in exchange for their own inferior gifts.

Whether it was the brothers combining for some tough fireman pushups…

Or the sisters pulling out their best Lebron James impressions on the Durant Loft basketball court…

Or our best “beatboxers” taking aim at destroying the creations of our best “rappers”…

Through our different challenges, many gifts were exchanged (stolen), but overall it was a great time catching up with our friends before the looming threat of finals. Afterwards, we finished our night by a singing a few Christmas hymns, as we were reminded of the first Christmas story, how on one silent night 2000 years ago, a baby was born in a manger in Bethlehem.

To all the students, good luck studying! Work hard for the next week, and it’ll be all over soon!
